Set Your
Clocks, Check Your Stocks
With constant threats such as pandemic flu and
tornadoes, families should always be prepared for the worst possible
event. This includes setting clocks, going through emergency plans
with families, and stockpiling emergency supplies.
Some emergency supplies can include simple things
such as flashlights and batteries, matches, a utility knife, garbage
bags, and paper cups and plates along with plastic utensils; however,
some things might not seem so obvious, things such as having a 3 day
supply of fresh drinking water and a 3 day supply of non-perishable
foods.
First aid items such as bandages and antibacterial
ointment are in most purchasable first aid kits, but items such as
prescription and non-prescription medications also need to be considered
when forming a first aid kit.
