Maternal and Infant
This is a comprehensive program
that includes social work services, nursing assessments, and
nutritional education for pregnant women. Designed to improve
the pregnancy outcomes of high risk mothers.
Healthy Start Home Visitor
Provide families with education
regarding proper prenatal and postnatal care. Family needs are
assessed and support is offered. Information about community
services is provided when necessary.
WIC (Women, Infant and
Children)
The WIC program offers food
supplements and nutrition education for those who meet income
eligibility and nutritional risk.

STD/ HIV Counseling
Provide testing for HIV antibody
testing and counseling is available (anonymous and confidential).
Testing and treatment for STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) for
men and women.
Car Seat Fitting Station
We have 2 National Child
Passenger Safety Technicians to assist in picking and installing the
right car seat for your child.
Emergency Preparedness
Planning, preparing, and
educating our residents for emergency situations in the county.
We work closely with Emergency Management.
Medical Reserve Corps
Medical Reserve Corps units are
locally based volunteers who can assist their communities during
emergencies such as an influenza epidemic, public health emergency,
natural disaster or an act of terrorism. Each volunteer must
attend an orientation and an application must be submitted to the
Health Department before attending orientation. Orientations
are offered twice a year. Please call the

Certified Breastfeeding
Educator
Promoting and assisting families
with normal lactation and with common breastfeeding challenges.
Lab One/Quest Diagnostic Collection Site
Partnered with Lab One/Quest
Diagnostic to service
patients in our area who have a Lab One/Quest Diagnostic insurance card.
Collection of specimens are Monday thru Thursday between 8am and 12
noon.
Child Care
Child care licensure & routine
evaluations of child care facilities are provided to assure adequate
care, supervision, and safety for all children. You may also
report complaints to our office.
Disease Investigation
We provide follow-up and
investigation of all reportable diseases. TB skin testing,
coordinating follow-up and treatment is provided. STD/HIV
testing, follow-up investigation and treatment if needed.
Prescription Discount Card
Free enrollment for Marshall
County residents. This is offered through joint effort of
National Association of Counties (NACO) and Marshall County.
Women's Clinic
Clinic is last Thursday of every
other month. Breast exams, pap smear screenings, and
confidential pregnancy testing and counseling are offered.
Offers education and birth control as indicated and requested. (By
